It wasn’t long after his de-commitment from Pittsburgh that University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino offered Maverick Rowan a scholarship.
Now, the 6-foot-6 Rowan has become a top priority in the Class of 2016 for Pitino.
Pitino and assistant coach Mike Balado were in Florida again on Saturday, watching Rowan for the second time in two weeks play for his Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Cardinal Gibbons High School team. Pitino has been to see him four times since he backed off the pledge to Pittsburgh in late September.
Rowan finished with 32 points in the game at the Kreul Classic in Coral Springs, Fla.
