The Florida Phenoms were started in 2007 by current 4th grade coach Chris Moore. Chris was interested in bringing together the best athletes from the Naples area to compete against teams from larger cities like Miami, Orlando, and Tampa. After a 28-14 record and a third place finish in the USSSA Florida state championships, the Phenoms inaugural season was the perfect platform to build on. Fast forward six years later and the Phenoms organization has developed in the premier boys youth basketball organization in Southwest Florida. The Phenoms boast an impressive collection of local, state, and national championships from the country’s leading youth basketball entities, AAU, YBOA, and USSSA. Coaching expertise and organizational leadership has grown to include the likes of Chip Youmans, Brett Davis, Robert Mosbach, Garrett Hull, and Greg Urbancic as well as a dedicated group of parents and supporters. The number of student-athletes in the Phenom organization has grown to include six different age divisions and over 50 kids. With the inaugural group of student-athletes set to enter college in 2015 and several classes of skilled players to follow, the Phenoms future continues to look very bright.
