The Atlanta Xpress was created in 2007 by the founder of People Helping People Today – Windred Jordan. Originally, the team was named The Georgia Pony Xpress, but was later changed in 2009. The Atlanta Xpress spring and summer basketball program became the first grass roots organization in the United States to be sponsored by Under Armour Sports & Apparel Company. People Helping People Today has been very instrumental in helping the lives of the youth in the Atlanta community. Basketball provides a positive outlet for children all over the world; the Atlanta Xpress organization is dedicated to preserving the integrity of this outlet by teaching discipline, sportsmanship, team work, commitment, responsibility and perseverance.
